How To Improve Your Pregnancy Fashion Game with a Minimal Wardrobe

by meganaperez | May 28, 2019 | Uncategorized

Fashion is something that is always a concern for me. When I got pregnant, I scoured Pinterest and Instagram to grab whatever maternity fashion inspiration I could find. Once my belly got too big for my non-maternity clothing, I began my hunt for some great pieces...

| TAKING A BREAK | I’m not normally good at tak | TAKING A BREAK |

I’m not normally good at taking breaks. I’m naturally a workaholic. If I don’t have something to do I will find something to do. As I’ve gotten older, I still struggle with taking breaks but I’m getting better.

As moms, we have to be on all the time. Cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids and husband. It’s a tough job. You have to be selfless. You have to sacrifice. And that’s why, I always tell newlyweds, wait to have kids until you’re ready to be completely selfless and ready to sacrifice. Sacrifice sleeping in on the weekends. Sacrifice lounging all day on the couch. You have be ready to make a meal or prep a snack at any moment when your child comes up to you and says their hungry.

Now, don’t get me wrong, this job is totally worth it. But it has showed me how much more important taking breaks are. Because you’re constantly on the go, you need to be able to have a time to sit and relax.

So just remember moms, take a break today. Sit in silence, read a book, take a bath, something. Just relax and take a break.

Don’t get up and clean. Just sit and breathe ❤️
| NEW BLOG POST | Sharing 5 tips for new moms on | NEW BLOG POST |

Sharing 5 tips for new moms on how to quiet the noise around them. You guys, being a mom isn’t easy. And there are so many people out there that want to speak into your parenting. If you aren’t firm in your decisions, these outside opinions will get into your head and you will begin to doubt yourself. You will begin to think you aren’t good enough or that you can never make the right decision for your child. Let’s stop that! Check out my blog post for a full explanation of these tips and start implementing them! Click the link in my bio to give it a read!

Let’s be supportive of other moms no matter if you agree with their parenting decisions or not. We all come from different backgrounds and cultures so our parenting styles will of course be different! And that’s okay! Let’s just support each other!

What is something that you doubted as a new mom but have since become confident in? I’ll go first: As a first time mom, I shamed myself because I couldn’t breastfeed my daughter like I wanted to. My body stopped producing no matter what I did. Once I finally realized that “fed is best” and that formula was okay to give my daughter to make sure she was full and happy, I became so much more confident. That confidence helped me in other areas of motherhood.

Share yours below! Let’s share some confidence today moms!
To say that I have an obsession with beauty produc To say that I have an obsession with beauty products and skincare is an understatement. 🤣

This past Monday I wrote a blog post all about my beauty favorites and sharing my daily beauty routine. Honestly, I was always into beauty more than makeup. Truth be told, I wasn't allowed to wear makeup until I was 18 anyways. So all I really had was skincare and haircare. So head to the link in my bio to check out that post!

Anyone else grow up with a strict mom in this area or was it just me?? 🤷🏽‍♀️

What's your favorite beauty product to use??

Today I woke up 30. Well not technically when I wo Today I woke up 30. Well not technically when I woke up since I was born at 2:34pm but still. (I know this because my father would tell me the story every year 😂 anyone else’s father do that??)

Today I feel beyond happy, grateful, excited, confident, and loved. God has been good to me. I mean to think close to 20 years ago I was battling for my life with cancer to now seeing my 30th birthday. God is so good.

I’m excited because in my spirit, I sense God is going to do something amazing this year. Idk what it is or what it will look like, but knowing God, it will be amazing. With so much negativity in the world, I’m holding onto that promise and choosing to live each day with joy in my heart. Expectant for what God will do. Not just in the near future but what He will do everyday. Because everyday I wake up is a gift. ❤️ #HappyBirthdayToMe #ThisIs30

Last night this guy surprised me with an early 30t Last night this guy surprised me with an early 30th birthday party with my family. ❤️

He’s the best.

I gotta say, I turn 30 on Monday and I’m not even mad about it. I’m actually excited. Excited that I get to start a new year completely fresh. I’m excited about everything God has in store for our family. I’m excited to push myself to new levels. In every aspect of my life. Im excited to dig deeper into things I love.

But don’t worry, I’m still the same essential oil loving momma who will probably be wearing leggings and a tee shirt putting on her new nail dashes. 😂

These past few days have been rough. Absolutely no These past few days have been rough. Absolutely nothing has happened, except for the fact that I’ve forgotten to take my thyroid medicine. Also because I ran out and forgot to reorder it for like 3-4 weeks 😬

With emotions being high for me right now, oils have been my best friend. I was able to get my medicine back but as my body readjusts, I’ve been diffusing and applying oils all day. The scents just make me feel grounded, happy, and calm. Give me all the aromatherapy when hormones are going crazy 😂😂

I used to burn candles in these types of moments but now I’m all in with essential oils. And I wouldn’t trade it for any candle. Not just because I can’t have lit candles around my toddler but because essential oils are so much better for our health. And as a mom, that’s my main concern.

Who’s made the switch to essential oils? What’s your favorite oil to diffuse when emotions are all over the place? Mine is Joy! ❤️❤️

| REAL TALK When I first had Lily I struggled so | REAL TALK

When I first had Lily I struggled so much in my devotional life. Trying to figure out how to be a mom and being dead tired after labor had me putting my devotional life on the back burner. I started to feel bad about myself. I felt like I was letting God down. I had a very real conversation with my mom about it and put me at ease. She told, “You’re in a new chapter of your life. Your life isn’t the same as before. You have to give yourself a break and stop putting pressure on yourself. God knows where you’re at, He knows your heart. He’s the one who turned the page and lead you into this new chapter. Give yourself time to figure out your new normal.”

And that’s what I did. I started to find little pockets of time during the day to read a verse or chapter in my Bible. I would take a few minutes throughout the day to pray. All of those little moments kept be going until I was able to figure out my new normal. Now? I’m back to my daily devotional life and I love it.

To all the new moms: don’t put pressure on yourself. You’re in a new chapter of your life. It’s not the same as it was before. Give yourself grace. God is there helping you adjust with your newborn and helping you heal. Find small pockets of time during the day to read a verse or chapter, and give yourself grace. ❤️

What’s one thing you wished someone told you before you became a new mom? 👇🏽❤️
