Hey Friends! My name is Megan. I’m a wife, mother of two beautiful girls, follower of Jesus Christ, lover of natural living and coffee. I started this blog to be able to create a space for moms to be able to get resources on how they can make their lives easier.
I’m always trying to figure out ways to make my life easier. Whether it be tips or tricks on how to get my daughter to sleep, keep her busy, or figuring out an easy meal for dinner that day. And now with a newborn added to the mix, you can best believe I’m on the hunt for easier ways to do things on a budget!
My husband and I are full time Worship Directors at our church. So to say we’re busy would be an understatement! But I love it. I love every aspect of our lives and I love being able to share that with you guys!
I started blogging a few years ago after my first daughter was born. I wanted a place where I could write but also help other moms live a more natural lifestyle.
If you don’t know my story, the short version is that I was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 8. It was a Naturopathic doctor who found the cancer. Other doctors I had seen prior dismissed my mom by telling her I had a stomach flu. Neither of them thought to get blood work done for me. But a Naturopathic doctor did. It was his first thought. By the time my parents got it confirmed I had had Leukemia for almost 6 months and they had no idea. Had I entered the hospital a week later, I wouldn’t have made it.
Chemotherapy took a huge toll on my body. I went through it for 2 years before going into remission. Because of that experience, I began to limit the kind of medication I took. If I had a really bad headache or really bad cramps, I would just suck it up and deal with it. I preferred that over taking Advil or anything.
Now, I don’t completely hate “western” medicine. I do believe there is a place for it. But if I can 1. prevent myself or my family from getting sick by taking supplements, changing the products that I use daily and 2. use a natural remedy to fix the issue than I will do that first.
My experience has me more aware of what I’m putting into my body. Now that I have children, I’m even more aware. I am the gatekeeper to my home. Products that I use now, I trust completely. And that’s why I share about them. They’re helping our family stay healthy. And that is what I want to help other families do, stay healthy. Because if you’re healthy, you’re happy.
I’d love to be able to partner with you to help your family live a happier and healthier life as well! Make sure to check out my blog posts to learn more about what products I use around my house, different tips on living a simpler lifestyle, what toys we buy our girls and more!
